Violin Stock 09 by MeetMeAtTheLake2Nite Violin Stock 09 by MeetMeAtTheLake2Nite
Model/Photographer is me

Stock rules:

~ ALWAYS credit me as Lor Myers and link to my DA account.

~ If I am IN the photo and did not TAKE the photo - CREDIT THE PHOTOGRAPHER!!!!

~ Please show me the finished work because I am excited to see it!

~ You can post on other sites but please try to credit me still.

~ Do not use my stock in "rude manners" (example racism, child or animal abuse etc).

~ If you are not creative with it (DO NOT CUT IT OUT AND PLASTER IT ON A BACKGROUND WITHOUT EDITING IT FIRST!!!!! I SEE A LOT OF THIS!!!) then do not use my stock. I want to see CREATIVITY! You don't have to be amazing at photo manipulation but at least edit the stock to your liking!

~ You can sell art with my stock, but please if I am in the photo, I'd wish to have the high resolution version of it so I could do a print for myself. I would not post the high resolution version on the internet or use it for any purpose but for myself unless agreed otherwise.

*** DO NOT CROP OUT PART OF ME AND PUT ON SOMEONE ELSE, OR DO NOT PUT SOMEONE ELSE"S FACE ON MY BODY!!!! DO NOT use part of an outfit for stock (example a skirt or corset to use in another photo) but do NOT replace parts of my body with another person's or vice versa! KEEP ME INTACT AS I AM!!!

What is allowed is to make me a demon or skeleton or something along those lines, that is fine, but do not put someone else's face over my face. If my stock isn't good enough for you, don't use it. ***

I know this is a little late but when playing the bow is supposed to be parallel to the bridge. I'm trying to teach myself how to play the violin and that's just one of the things I'm trying to correct early on; my bow tends to wander along the strings especially towards the end as my hands get tired. I honestly wouldn't have noticed the hands if someone else hadn't pointed that out. One thing I definitely love is that the symbols on your dress are shaped like the f-holes/sound holes.

Yep don't know anything about playing, plus had to hold the remote in my bow band to set the cam off, wasn't easy to do at all

Really awesome work here; I love the colors and whole macabre vibe (and that corset ugh ). Your makeup and outfit work perfectly here.

Your hand positions, though, are a bit off from a normal string musician's. Rather than bending around it, the fingers of the right hand grip the frog (the lower end of the bow) in a fashion like this [link] in order to properly balance and control the bow's movement (and therefore produce better sound x3).

Your left hand is pretty accurate, though with an unbent wrist and elbow leaning more towards the inside of your body (my orchestra's director describes it as turning a doorknob backwards). When this is done properly, the fingerboard of the violin will be parallel to your left leg (though you did this right! It's mainly just the wrist that needs correction).

I don't mean for this to sound rude or anything! x3 I really love this, though, and would adore if people could put up quality stocks like this with proper hand positions. I know it probably seems awkward to do (especially if you've never held an under-the-chin string instrument before!), but it should also help to watch videos of violins or violists performing.

Thanks for the tips. I have never touched a violin until I did the stock. I was thinking, shit, I am sure I am not holding this properly. The hand with the bow, I had the remote in that hand too to take the photo, so I had to hold it like that to take the photo myself =/

I have a shoot today with the violin, hence why I have it at the moment. I should look at some photos to see how to properly hold it and attempt that for the shoot today lol.

It's not my violin, it's the first violin I've ever touched so I probably won't be able to answer your question lol! But go ahead anyways =)
