Stock rules:

~ ALWAYS credit me as Lor Myers and link to my DA account.

~ If I am IN the photo and did not TAKE the photo - CREDIT THE PHOTOGRAPHER!!!!

~ Please show me the finished work because I am excited to see it!

~ You can post on other sites but please try to credit me still.

~ Do not use my stock in "rude manners" (example racism, child or animal abuse etc).

~ If you are not creative with it (DO NOT CUT IT OUT AND PLASTER IT ON A BACKGROUND WITHOUT EDITING IT FIRST!!!!! I SEE A LOT OF THIS!!!) then do not use my stock. I want to see CREATIVITY! You don't have to be amazing at photo manipulation but at least edit the stock to your liking!

~ You can sell art with my stock, but please if I am in the photo, I'd wish to have the high resolution version of it so I could do a print for myself. I would not post the high resolution version on the internet or use it for any purpose but myself unless agreed otherwise.

What is the breed of the horse? I need to know if that horse would be a good model for a western drawing I'm working on.

Hehehe. In ways I wish it was the 1600s.. medicine is WAY more advanced nowadays though and I'm sick a lot. Otherwise, everyone looked proper all the time! People are so lazy these days! And buildings also looked so good. Well, not the little poor ones but you know lol.

Thanks he needs loving vibes right now. He's okay, but I brought him to my coach's barn yesterday for a month of training. I hate having my horses away from home, but he needs it! My other horse is missing him lots, I just hope they both understand he's coming back in a while!

It really does help if you talk them & tell them & whilst you're doing that envisage mentally what you're trying to say in pictures...see the one being away because he needs the training & see them reunited when it's done. It really does make a difference, horses are quite sensitive, IMO even a little psychic. I used to do that with our miniature horses when we lived on acres, now of course we've moved to the suburbs coz we couldn't afford the rents on acres anymore. I cried oceans of tears when we had to rehouse our guys.

I feel kinda bad. Simon's eyes were worried this morning. I put him outside first (I also have 2 minis, so 2 little ones 2 big ones, they buddy up) and he was screaming for Xerxes. I kept reassuring him he'll just be gone a few weeks, he's at Marci's (Simon knows Marci) for training and he'll be back after he's learned dressage lol. If I had my own trailer I'd bring Simon up to visit him, or bring Xerxes home to visit, but I don't and trailering is very expensive.

I believe every animal is telepathic, every human too but not everyone can tap into that. I think we've lost it over the years, I believe long ago we were all very in tune. I try to be in tune as possible but it is hard to get back.

Awww that is so sad! I hate not having Xerxes at home. I hated boarding too!

Does Simon also fret when you take Xerxes out on his own for a ride or something? Because if that's the case then you can work with him to desensitize him to Xerxes not being around & to learn that he always comes back. But it does require taking a day or so & patience to repeatedly take Xerxes out of sight for short periods at a time. You'll also need a helper that Simon likes & trusts to reinforce his "good" behavior...ie give him lots of positive praise & reward when he is calm at Xerxes leaving & as he's coming back. Depending on how smart the horse is, they pretty much catch on to things in less than one day but breaking learned habits can be hard.

Sometimes, but they both call for each other if I take one out. They never used to be like that much, but I had them at a boarding barn and there were many horses they'd still be with. Now since it's just the 4 they tend to get more upset. Donkey, my one miniature flipped out today and ran around the pen when I took his brother Nicky out to bring him into the barn first. Usually I bring donkey first to go inside or else he does that, I guess I forgot lol. Nicky goes out first in the mornings and Donkey doesn't care then. They like their routines lol.

I havn't taken them out of the pen or barn lately because it's been to wet to ride, so I havn't separated them in a while. But I think once that happens we can work on that a bit. I'm just worried since Simon isn't quite used to that right now, knowing Xerxes is coming back, he might over worry in an entire month. Thanks for the tips!

It can be very hard to get stock photos of yourself + animal, expecially horse lol. I set up a tripod and it's best to have a remote to set off the timer. I didn't have a remote at the time (my old one was stolen along with $3000 worth of equipment and old camera) so my bf pushed the timer for me. Looking foreward to what you make!
